A steep hill walk to the Chandranath Temple at the summit, an important Hindu pilgrimage site.

The path climbs through forest to a temple on the summit, with views over the hills and, on clear days, the coast.

This is a place of worship. Dress and behave respectfully, particularly during festivals when the hill is very busy.

Visitor tips

The climb is demanding and has many steps: allow plenty of time and carry water.
The map marker shows the temple at the summit, not the start of the path.
